Job Overview
We are looking for a scientific software documentation specialist to join E-Notebook Research and Development team. This individual will develop documentation for new E- Notebook product releases and work on improving documentation for existing product lines.
Scope of Work Activities
Understand software requirements and design documentation. Install software in Windows environment. Write software documentation (Installation Instructions, User Guides, Administration Guides, Quick Reference Cards, Training Manuals) consistent with requirements and design documents. Interact with software development teams Software services teams to understand software functionality and software documentation needs in individual software projects.
Continuous improvement (proactive and reactive – bug fixing) of existing E-Notebook products software documentation.
Skills and Competencies - Required
General:
* Degree in Chemistry or related physical or life science discipline.
* 2 or more years of experience in technical writing in software industry including.
* Familiarity with software development lifecycle and computer systems.
* Ability to work in a dynamic, global team environment using modern communication tools (SKYPE, GOTO, WEBEX, IM etc.).
* Excellent written and oral communication in English
Technical Skills:
* Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003/2007
* Knowledge of HTML and standard HTML authoring tools
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft XP, Vista and Windows 7 operating systems
Skills and Competencies – Good to have
* Practical job experience in R&D environment
* Knowledge of software usability field.
* Practical knowledge of VM tools (VM Workstation, ESX environment).
* Familiarity with Code Management Systems (for example Perforcium).
* Knowledge of Windows Server 2003, Oracle 10/11, Microsoft SQL Server and Visual Basic

Performance Engineer (Job Code – PE01) with at least 3-5 years of performance testing experience
Responsibilities:
* Creating load/stress tests using testing tools ( Jmeter is a plus) , analyze load/ stress test results and build and execute load and stress test suites/ harnesses.
* Design and document user workflow models based on historic production usage statistics and projected future user transaction rates.
* Formally communicate suggestions for tuning the OS, network, database, and application parameters to the customer.
* Continuously create and update load scripts for new or altered business functions during subsequent release cycles and analyze the impact of these application changes on system performance.
* Design, code, and run scripts that facilitate the staging of performance test data.
Requirements:
* 3+ years of software testing experience, including test plan and test case generation as well as development of automated test scripts using tools within a multi-tiered web environment
* Strong programming skills in following: C#, VB, Perl, SQL.
* In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies and industry standard software development processes.
* Experience in Linux & Windows
* Working knowledge in most of the following web technologies: web servers (IIS, Apache), Databases (Oracle, SQLServer), Network and Application Protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL) and other system performance factors (Load-balancers, Cache and Proxy servers)
* Proven verbal and written technical communication skills.

BUILD/RELEASE ENGINEER – Job Code – BRE 01
Qualification /Experience
SCM/Build/Release
* Background in codeline management and processes including version, build and issue management as well as build and release management covering internal and customer deployment strategies
* A proven record of success delivering software products in an aggressive, fast-paced engineering organization
* Thorough understanding of the use and implementation of development workspace management strategies across multiple sites to support release engineering for large development efforts/teams
* Knowledgeable and experienced in SDLC, SCM practices, software build technologies, and Release Management methodologies.
Tools/Technical:
* Familiar with software development tools for Windows. Should be familiar with Windows Visual Studio environments.
* Familiar with standard build tools such as NANT and Make/gmake.
* Experience with the use and administration of Perforce is highly desirable; however a candidate familiar with other source control tools such as TFS, ClearCase or comparable systems should be able to apply that knowledge
* Solid Experience with the use, maintenance and deployment of tools such as InstallShield, Wise or WiX

* Ability to understand and edit HTML and XML files

Required Qualification
Btech, MCA or Relevant Masters Degree with 2+ years experience in PHP, MySql, Javscript, Ajax, XSL, XML, HTML, CSS.
* Design, develop, maintain and optimize secure and scalable multi-tier web applications.
* Strong knowledge of PHP, Perl, Javascript, UNIX shell, SQL, HTML, CSS, XML.

Required Qualification
Btech, MCA or Relevant Masters Degree with 2+ years experience in software testing and quality assurance role with a mix of both manual and automated test experience including performance, load and stress testing related to client server, web services and Web based applications.
* Database, web services, and web application testing experience in an e-Commerce environment
* Combination of significant experience with virtualization deployments, client server and web based technologies.
* Knowledge and experience with automated testing software packages (Expertise in QTP)
* Experience with Performance and Load Generation tools: Ex. HP Load Runner, Borland (Silk Performer and Silk Test) (Any associated Certifications in related testing tools)
* Strong working knowledge of Internet browsers and respective compatibility testing
* Scripting and SQL Query experience a plus

Chemical Infomatics Specialist (Job Code: CIS-02)
Graduate degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry(MSc) with 4-5 years work experience in the commercial software industry is required; including 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing. Solid understanding of chemical structure representations (including isomerism) and nomenclature. Experience in the use of Chemical Informatics software such as: chemical search engines, chemical drawing tools, chemical registration systems, chemical database management tools, and chemical scripting languages. Familiarity with standard chemical data formats (cdx, mol, sketch, sdf, smiles). Experience with Oracle and MS Access is essential .
