Job Description:
Key responsibilities include:
Work with engineering team leads/senior management to plan, schedule, execute and release of high quality software development project on time.
Work closely with IT team and analyze, architect, design, implement and maintain software development infrastructure such as Source control system, Build System, Development environments.
Work closely with engineering team/QA team, continuously evaluate, design and improve technology stack, software development life cycle and development processes.
Work with engineering team leads/IT team/senior management to provide timely resolutions for development environment and maintain service level agreements
Work closely with SaaS operations (Software as a Service) to ensure unified, scalable, and highly maintainable automated product deployment and configuration
Provide tools and infrastructure for visible software development metrics, working closely with Development and QA to support related initiatives
Preferred Skills:
· Engineering or MCA graduate with 5 to 10 years of experience in relevant fields.
· 3 to 10 years of relevant Built and Release Engineering experience, DBA, Linux Building etc.
· Required good knowledge of Ant, Maven, cvs/subversion or other Source Control System, Junit, Eclipse, clover, Continuum, windows/Linux environment scripting.
· RDBMS basics (e.g. SQLServer/Oracle/MySQL) basic linux command/administration skill.
· Strong background in Software Development Lifecycle
· Strong experience in Release Engineering
· Comprehensive understanding of release engineering methodologies and practices, including Continuous Integration
· Self directed and self motivated
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable skill sets:
DBA experience is highly plus
Java/J2ee basics,
Eclipse basics,
Apache Tomcat basics,
JBoss basics,
Java Checkstyle.
