Job Description: Skills Requirements
► BE/BTech/MCA/BSc
► UNIX and Linux Administration , especially on HP-UX, Solaris and RedHat Linux Platforms
► Strong Knowledge of UNIX Operating Systems, especially HP-UX version-1 and 2, PA-RISC and Itanium. Sun Solaris and RedHat Linux
► Experience in both Enterprise PA-RISC and Itanium platforms
► Experience in implementing Superdomes and other high end servers
► Extensive experience in setting up the nPars and vPars
► Experience in setting up the Oracle RAC on Linux platform
► Strong Experience in LVM, Veritas Volume Manager, Online JFS
► Strong knowledge on MC Service Guard
► Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining applications on Unix servers
► Knowledge of UNIX shell scripting and Perl programming
► Analysis and tuning of UNIX kernel
► Extensive experience of Troubleshooting and resolution of UNIX OS and Applications
► Ability to document processes and procedures
► Knowledge of SAN and Storage
► Knowledge of Netbackup
► Understanding of IP protocols and networking
► Knowledge of systems performance analysis and security tuning.
► Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
► Strong working knowledge in ITIL Incident Management
► Ability to work and team effectively with clients, management and staff members

Technical Skills:
► Excellent knowledge of HP Storage Works products (EVA8000/6000/4000 and XP1024/12000/24000) including LUN provisioning and how it works on the host side as well (Windows, HPUX, Linux)
► Strong knowledge of setting up Business Copy on XP
► Extensive knowledge of SAN Fabric using Brocade switches - Director class and edge technology, zoning and configuration
► Strong knowledge of NetApp NAS and SAN storage including expertise in snap shots and snap mirroring
► Strong knowledge of EMC storage product line (Clariion, Centera, etc.)
► Strong Symantec Netbackup skills with version 6.0/6.5 on Windows, Unix and Linux platforms, utilizing ACSLS in an enterprise Master and Media server environment using SSO
► Monitoring - As part of proactive incident avoidance should be able to monitor and analyze System Logs for issues, changes and alerts. Should be familiar with setting up Performance Analyzer for XPs, ISEE and HP SIM. Knowledge of interfacing all this with Openview is a plus
► Excellent knowledge of VTL and Data Deduplication products - NetApp VTL solution
► Strong troubleshooting skills for both SAN and Netbackup technology
► NetApp Decru encryption devices - setup and troubleshooting
► Strong scripting skills in Shell and Perl
► Strong knowledge of OS platforms are needed for HP-UX, Linux and Windows - LVM, MPIO, HBA, Drivers
Soft Skills:
► Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
► Leadership skills
► Sound judgment and analytical ability
► Strong documentation skills - MS Word, Excel, Projects and Visio
► The ability to work effectively with clients, management and staff members
► Experience in maintaining mission critical production environment in large data centers

► Strong working knowledge in ITIL Incident Management
